3.1 Engaging SATO During Project Kick-Off
The SATO team can support your USAID project in a number of ways, and looks forward to collaborating with you throughout your project lifecycle. Please contact us when you receive your award so we can engage with your USAID project. Early collaboration will help us understand how SATO products can support your project, thereby reducing supply chain delays.

3.2 Designing Field Trials to Introduce SATO
SATO can support USAID activities by providing guidelines and support as you introduce new sanitation products to your project’s communities. Specifically, the SATO Innovation team designs field trials and provides technical assistance and troubleshooting throughout. The SATO team greatly values the data and feedback that partners gather about SATO products, and requests that partners share with us the data they have collected during field trials. Please contact your local SATO representative to discuss how we can collaborate as you introduce SATO products through your projects.

3.6 Designing SATO M&E Indicators
The primary resource for indicator design and measurement for any USAID-funded WASH activity is the USAID Global Water Strategy Indicator Handbook. Be sure to verify that you are referring to the most recently-published version, as USAID makes important updates to this handbook from time to time. This tool was developed using the version published in July 2023.
