Solutions for the humanitarian sector

A GROWING PORTFOLIO THAT ADDRESSES HUMANITARIAN NEEDS

Today, one in 33 people worldwide needs humanitarian assistance or protection. This creates new sanitation and hygiene challenges, and increases the spread of preventable illnesses, including diarrhoea – one of the most common causes of child mortality in refugee camps.

Leveraging SATO’s expertise in product development and innovation, we recently launched the SATO Slab – an easy-to-transport, sturdy and easy-to-clean platform that quickly creates a safe and pleasant toilet experience. It is designed to facilitate the rapid and affordable construction of strong, sturdy toilets, helping to combat pressures exerted by excessive use of a small number of toilet facilities. Find out more in our blog here.

Our SATO Pitliner has been designed to be easy to install without the need of any bricklaying. The interlocking tabs simply click together so that the pit liner can be quickly constructed with everything supplied in one box for easy transport to site.

The new SATO SuperStructure has been designed to be sturdy, quick-to-assemble, and offers a private, safe and dignified area for individual use.

SATO offers easy-to-assemble and affordable products that can be quickly deployed in emergencies related to climate change.  For more on climate resilient sanitation solutions please see here
