SATO’s work in Uganda focuses on strengthening local manufacturing, distribution, and community empowerment to improve sanitation. Key projects include:
- Local manufacturer: Partnering with Nice House of Plastics (NHOP) enables nationwide distribution of SATO toilets through over 1,000 outlets, supported by training for over 1,500 masons.
- SATO I-Trap : Introduction of an innovative toilet connection system to improve hygiene, minimize odors, prevent diseases, and conserve water.
Ongoing training initiatives: Empowering communities through product demonstrations and training sessions for masons and plumbers to ensure proper installation and maintenance of SATO products.
