Madagascar

SATO launched operations in Madagascar in 2023 with the goal of increasing access to sanitation for 500,000 people over three years.  This aims to address Madagascar’s sanitation crisis, where only 12.3% of the population has basic sanitation access.  Key initiatives include:

  • Through the partnership with Inviso, our importer, we make products available across the country.
  • Market development for SATO products: we make  affordable and aspirational sanitation products available where customers are through marketing campaigns and the creation of a sales network
  • Empowering female toilet sales agents:Partnering with WSUP, we  trained women as sales agents, who promote sanitation products and work with local masons on installation and maintenance.
